Eric,
It's good to be here. I hope it proves as successful as CWDG.
Best wishes,

Mark Peters has graciously agreed to serve as a moderator. I expect to have one or two more. Mark has full authority to enforce the rules here, as if it was me enforcing the rules.
Thanks for being willing to serve, Mark.

Thakns for inviting me Eric via the CWDG. Hope this new forum also as successful. I live within forty minutes of the major sites of the Winter Campaign of 1776...i.e. Trenton and Princeton.......

Gerry,
Believe it or not, I've never visited ANY of those New Jersey battlefields. One of these days, I want to go on a Rev Wargasm and his all of those NJ sites.

Eric,
It's great to finally have a Revolutionary War forum! I have lived in the suburban Philadelphia area all of my life. Every time I visit Independence National Park and Valley Forge, I find it to be a very emotional experience. There are many great historic sites within an hour or less from my home and I love it here!
Thanks so much for providing a place to discuss the events of the founding of our nation!

Pamela Jo,
You're very welcome, and it's my pleasure. I feel the same way, and after failing to find anything similar, I decided to tackle the project myself.
Welcome aboard. I hope you enjoy your time here.

A nice place to begin a "Rev Wargasm" would be at the upcoming re-enactment of Washington Crossing the Delaware. This takes place on Christmas Day at Washington Crossing. There are events at both the NJ and PA sides of the river that day.

Linda,
You're absolutely right. I've attended many "crossings" over the years. It's a very unique Christmas Day tradition. The weather hasn't always cooperated, but it's still worth the trip down river. I hope to get there again this year. I've never been on the Jersey side...always stay on the PA side.

Hi Pam.
I've seen it from both sides....LOL. I bet we've bumped into each other.
I actually prefer going to the dress rehearsal because the buildings are open to the public and it's never as crowded.
